How does solar work?Solar Science Made Simple
-
Why should I install solar? There are three main advantages of solar energy. Save money each month. Add 4-8% to the value of your home (Source: Nationwide Zillow Study 2019). Mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
-
How much can I expect to save by going solar?Every home is different and electic usage also varies. Our engineers create a custom design taking into account local utility plans, shading, obstructions, current home usage, and future energy needs. Most homeowners experience an average of $2,000 per year. To get an estimate on how much you can save, submit your information for Sky's the Limit free Energy Savings Report.
-
Is solar future-proofed?Yes. Solar energy is a source that pays itself back. Typically with solar, there is no up-front investment and with your solar power generating extra energy the utility has to purchase, you can help drastically reduce or fully eliminate your large, monthly payments from your utility provider. The system also protects homeowners against the inevitable rise in electricty prices. By installing solar through Titan Solar Power AZ, you're investing in a better financial and energy solution for your home and family.

How long does the whole process take?Sky's the Limit Solar has completed several hundered successful solar panel projects. Each one has its own timeline based on the size of hte project, the speed of external sources (e.g., government and utility company), and the time of year (summer is our busiest season). We also want to make sure the design is 100% perfect so you can have 100% confidence. Our typical project follows this cycle: Site Survey & Design: 3 - 5 Weeks Permitting: 2 - 8 Weeks Installation: 1 - 5 Days City Inspections: 1 - 4 Weeks Utility Connection: 2 - 4 Weeks ESTIMATED TOTAL TIME: 2 - 4 MONTHS

Can I add more panels later?Ideally, Sky's the Limit Solar would maximize the space available to your home to help you get the most out of your system. We also have payment plans available. That being said, if you already have panels installed, would like more, and your home has the space, we can install additional panels.
-
Can I store excess energy?Depending on the design and offset of your system, most of our homeowners produce more power than their home will use. They make the local utility their customer, as the utility will purchase the extra power. This creates a credit on your utility account, another opportuntity to save money. Sky's the Limit Solar offers battery storage options for those that are looking for a more robust solution.

Does solar impact the value of of my home? The short answer is, yes! Solar actually increases the value of your home. Nationally, homes with solar-energy systems sold for 4.1% more on average than comparable homes without solar power. For the median-valued home, that translates to an additional $9,274. Who takes care of panel maintenance? This is another great advantage to solar panels. They don't have many moving parts so maintenance is quite low. Depending on how you install solar to your home, maintenance would be handled by you as the homeowner or your leasing company.
-
What happens when the power goes out or there is bad weather? If the power goes out in your area, systems tied to the grid go out also. It is not safe to send power out to the grid where workers are attempting to fix a power outage problem. Weather conditions like rain and snow can affect system production, however, solar panels will continue to produce energy on a cloudy or foggy day. If you add a backup battery to your solar system and/or Enphase Sunlight Backup, your system will continue to produce power. There are many factors that can determine the longevity of this solution.
